The Karwar Diocesan Development Council (KDDC), in collaboration with the Women and Child Development Department, continues to make a meaningful impact through its Creche Unit, providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for young children while supporting working parents.

The daycare center offers non-formal education and supervised childcare for infants and preschool children, helping them develop essential learning and social skills during their formative years. Early childhood education plays a vital role in laying the foundation for lifelong learning and overall development.

Under the guidance of a trained teacher and two dedicated helpers, children participate in a variety of engaging activities, including learning the English alphabet (A–Z), reciting rhymes with actions, dance and exercise sessions, interactive games, and social development activities. These programs encourage cognitive growth, communication, creativity, and confidence among children.

At present, 43 children are enrolled in the KDDC Creche Unit, benefiting from a joyful and enriching atmosphere that promotes learning through play and interaction. The initiative not only contributes to the holistic development of children but also provides peace of mind to working parents, knowing their children are cared for in a secure and nurturing setting.

Through this valuable service, KDDC remains committed to strengthening families and fostering the healthy growth and development of young children in the community.
