AN APPEAL

Asha Niketan Residential School for Def-Mute Children, at Kajubag, Karwar was established in 1996 for the rehabilitation, care and up-bringing of the Deaf-Mute Children’s. The school educates and trains children’s from 3 to 20 years, irrespective of cast and creed, so as to prevent them from being marginalized but make them useful and productive member of our society.
Both Boys and Girls are enrolled and accommodated in this school. They are being provided with food, clothing and medical and school needs in addition to there special education, which empowers them to lead a socially effective life in the community.

This special school in in undertaking of Karwar Diocesan Development Council (KDDC) a social service society registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act 1960, which has also been recognized under Section 80 G of Income Tax Act 1961

This school is entirely supported by the contributions / donations from the enlightened and philanthropic citizens. As the number of deaf-mute children seeking admissions in this school is on the increase. We solicit your generosity to support this worthy cause of making the deat-mute children useful and effective for our society.
