The academic year at Asha Niketan School was filled with meaningful learning experiences, celebrations, and achievements that promoted the holistic development of students.
The year began with the observance of World Environment Day and International Yoga Day, creating awareness about environmental protection and healthy living. Students actively participated in the School Leaders Election, gaining practical exposure to democratic values and leadership responsibilities.
The academic year was formally inaugurated by Rt. Rev. Duming Dias, Bishop of Karwar, who encouraged students to respect their elders, study diligently, and strive for excellence. Throughout the year, students celebrated important occasions such as Nagarpanchami, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanthi, Karnataka Rajyotsava, Children’s Day, Constitution Day, Republic Day, and a week-long World Handicap Day celebration, fostering patriotism, inclusivity, and cultural awareness.
Educational visits to the Gram Panchayat, Waste Management Centre, R.O. Water Plant, Science Exhibition, and an Indian Naval Ship provided valuable experiential learning opportunities. Students also enjoyed an educational tour to Mysore.
The school proudly witnessed outstanding participation and achievements in inclusive sports competitions at taluk, district, and state levels. Students also showcased their creativity through clay modelling, cultural programmes, dance performances, and other co-curricular activities.
A major milestone of the year was the inauguration of the Computer Lab, enhancing digital learning facilities for students. The year concluded with a Health Awareness Programme for girl students, promoting health, hygiene, and well-being.
